A recent outing with the Southern Resident Killer Whales in Puget Sound. Most / all shots are probably members of K-Pod, although J-Pod was also in the area.
It is always an amazing experience to be able to see these wonderful animals, and heartbreaking to witness their struggle to survive.
RIP little J-61, much hope for little J-62...
