A tough scenario to get captured, because of the inherent DOF problems.

My feedback would be that I have the same objective for bug shots as I do for other wildlife shots -- the eyes need to be in focus. So this image doesn't work for me, as only the abdomen and legs (including one of the victim's legs!) are in focus. The background is a touch bright, but that's what you had to work with (one could try and selectively darken it a bit).

If the spider wasn't moving, one could try focus stacking in this type of situation. It would be hard to stop down enough to get all the spider and the prey in focus with a single shot. Alternatively, if one could have shot from the side? I don't know if that was possible.

I always find the orb weavers to be striking in appearance.
