Winter in the Himalayas offers a unique opportunity for spotting rare wildlife. Snow leopards descend to lower altitudes, while Himalayan Ibexes and birds (like snow partridge and chukar partridge) are often seen against the pristine snow backdrop. Last winter I spotted snow leopards, Bharal (blue sheep) navigating snow-covered slopes, and Yaks (Bos grunniens) creating a stunning contrast in the white landscape.
