Stumped dummy here…. A super cool feature of Nikon’s Zf is to tap the rear screen for the desired focus point. Handy for composing with AF lenses or (especially) with Voigtlander’s M/F offerings for Z mount. Just open the rear live view screen, tap your point of focus (point should lock!), compose, focus with A/F or M/F…. roll finger over shutter button…. Got it! Well yes with the Zf and Z9… Z8 not so much....
Every time I tried to pick a focus point on the screen the shutter would trip..hmmmm…nothing stands out in the menus to separate these functions. Steve’s Z8/9 guide had it on page 232.. Lesson learned here is that sorting out your camera’s settings can be frustrating. Steve’s guides can pay dividends down the road. An index would be a great addition….
