Strange Optical Phenomenon.

Right after sunset at Table Rock Lake, saw this interesting shadow in the sky. The Sun was behind something, and threw this very strange shadow in the sky. Actually managed to capture it on the sensor.

When, and at what time, did you catch the image? It seems to be "before" sunset (the scene was still pretty bright and you mentioned the Sun was still in the sky). It could be a Zodiac light if you catch the scene ~ 1 hour after sunset (in Feb or March).

The Sun had set. This was September. The scene is bright because I used a slow shutter speed (1/30sec) and cranked up the exposure significantly in Lightroom. Plus in my experience Zodiacal Light looks more like the shape of a Standard Distribution. Thanks for looking!
