Being new to mirrorless systems I was not aware of the issues regarding higher speed shots with fast moving subjects using full electronic shutter. I am now clued up due to the help received on the general discussion forum.
Due to the way the camera reads the image, by scanning down the sensor the action can have moved on by the time the full image is read. Hence the strange way this birds wings have recorded top to bottom.
What due you think of the image. ( I know it is soft due to missed focus, motion blur and very High ISO ) . If I could correct the negatives it may prove a fun way to experiment .

Strange looking to say the least - was this heavily cropped ? if it was it might be a better idea to un-crop to give a better perspective because its just a little bit "in your face" ..

Apart from the strange image how are you finding the mirrorless system ? which camera do you have ? im just intrigued to know how people are adjusting to mirrorless over DSLR

Hi Harry. I only cropped the image in heavily to show the strange effect you can get with full electronic shutter. I would not even consider keeping such a poor image normally. It was only taken as part of my assessment of the system. The ISO was 10,000 ! so it was always going to be naff. The mirrorless system is taking some getting used to. For one thing I am missing shots due to the turn on delay and lag in the photo. I am disappointed that the silent shutter is not the best way for wildlife as if within hearing range of a timid subject it would be preferred. The cameras ability to handle high ISO is very impressive . The full image sensing is great. Cameras ability to track fast moving subjects is not up to DSLR standards yet. So good and bad bits.
