With the Z9 in for repairs I again had to slum it with ancient technology, the D6 Gotta admit it felt strange for the first hour or so manually tracking. I didn't bother revisiting 3D on the D6 as the subjects were relatively stationary. Were ultimately expensive shots to get as the lens hood on my 500 pf dropped off at some point, and as I was on marked trail maybe for about 50 metres for my 6 or so kms of treking through the snow looking for Snowy Owls, I didn't bother back tracking to look for it. A $cdn100 piece of poorly engineered plastic. I had meant to tape that hood on as I was, as I rarely do, carrying the gear on a strap hanging at my hip (recipe for working the hood off I figure).
