Tunnel View offers a classic view of Yosemite Valley. This popular viewpoint provides views of the flat valley floor, El Capitan on the left, with Cathedral Rocks and Bridalveil Fall to the right. The waterfall is usually just a trickle in the fall when this photo as taken. Beyond you can see Sentinel Rock, Half Dome, and Cloud's Rest!

Thank you Charles!

Thanks! If you make it to Yosemite you’ll be standing next to someone, it’s a popular spot but less crowded at sunrise.
Especially at Tunnel View.

I spent a lot of time at YNP in the late 1980s/early 1990s, but never took my photography seriously then. I was more into the exploration back then. I was once on a three-day camping visit in November 1993, I think, and was there when it snowed heavily one night and the valley was nearly deserted. It was absolutely wonderful, and I think about how it must have been/is this year with all of the snow in the Sierras.

I hope to make it back again before I die. Until then, I have photos like yours!

Wow that must have been an amazing experience to be in the valley after a fresh snow! Must have been cold camping in November.

If you ever get back there be sure to share some photos here, I’d love to see.
