The sun is up! Lots of heat distortion as the mile + of open water was 10-15F above the air temp. D500 with the 500PF. I wanted to see how bad the rumored flare issues are. I'm seeing a bit of a lightish ring around the sun but nothing offensive to my eye.

I've realized that using my D500 for anything other than wildlife does not work for me.

Great job considering the distance. Heat haze is a tricky challenge that is hard to overcome when you can’t easily close the distance.
