Nice shots. I like #3 the best.
I have to agree with you, most of the pictures I have were taken with old technology. I just upgraded to the D7500 and can't wait for opportunities to capture images with a little better image quality.

Nice images. I also like #3 for the well-defined shape of the sun. What older camera did you use before the D7500?

Rassie, I have been using the D40X since 2007 and in Sept 2021 upgraded to the D7500, before the D40X I was shooting Film ASA 400 with an Olympus OM1. When shooting film you definitively did not wish to shoot 20 frames a second. :)

Was there even a film camera that allowed you to shoot 20 frames per second, other than motion picture cameras?

No there was not a film camera that shot that frame rate, it was a joke, can you imagine a roll of film gone in a second, would be rather expensive to get one good shot.

I started with the D70S and the 18-200mm lens in 2005. My last DSLR was the D7500 before I got the Z6II most recently. I liked the D7500, it was, and still is, a great camera for its price. I eventually replaced my 18-200mm lens with 16-80mm and 70-200mm lenses. The improvement in image quality of those two lenses compared to the 18-200mm was absolutely worth the trouble of using two lenses versus one.

Now that you have switched to two lenses, do you carry both with you on an outing or do you take one and find a situation where you wished you had the other.

I now use the Z6II full frame camera, so I have a 24-70mm and the 70-200mm. Those go with me on all outings. I always have them in a backpack, together with the 14-30mm wide angle lens as well. I plan on trading the 24-70mm on the new Z 24-120mm. When that happens I'll take the 24-120mm and 70-200mm on outings.
