This morning found the Tawny Frogmouths on a fence end assembly, less than 1.5metres from the ground, allowing me to get eye level with them for the first time.

Unfortunately not easy as the birds are both quite some way into the surrounding scrub, this was the only decent shot I could get from the situation.
I could not find the third one of the family this morning, but will keep a check on them to see if things change.
This gives you an idea of what the posted shot was like before some PP, lots of branches in the way.
