On our final day in Old Faithful we spent the morning hiking the Upper Basin. As we headed off to return to Mammoth we met the Wapiti Lake pack again. On this occasion they were not quite so close and on the other side of the Firehole River. The weather was kinder though with no falling or blowing snow which made photography easier. Several members of the pack crossed over the Firehole River at one point:
