The emperor dragonfly or blue emperor (Anax imperator) is a large species of hawker dragonfly of the family Aeshnidae, averaging 78 millimetres (3.1 in) in length. I tend to shoot 99% of my makro using long lenses as the subjects apparently do not trust the old man near them at macro distance. D3S; 400 F/2.8 + 2XTCIII. f/7.1; 1/3200; ISO 1000. Zibilo hides, Mpumalanga.
