The Lowly Opossum

This creature gets too little respect. It is one of those animals that is so ugly it is cute. They are beneficial tick eating machines and contrary to popular myth, they rarely carry rabies. This one was in a tree in our back yard. It shows up several times a week on our trail cam.

Thanks. Yes them and the raccoons sometimes get in my feeders but I look at it like they have to eat too. The older I get the more I get in "live and let live" mode.
