I had passed by this tree, all by its lonesome, on the way to visit my friends who moved 60 miles away from where I live. I did this for a few years. Every time I passed by the tree I said to myself, "I have to take a picture of this tree." Well, one day I decided to pull to the side of the road, break out the equipment, and start taking images. I actually stopped a few times. This was the second attempt.

Nikon Z9, FTZ II, Nikkor 8 - 15mm Fisheye @ 14mm. ISO 64, f/11, 1/4sec. - Minor post production edits.

Welcome to BCG!

Both images are very nice! I prefer the second image since the tree is larger in the frame and you positioned the sun just right! For the first image you might play around with a tighter crop - even try a pano (16x9) crop!

Thank you for your sentiments, but unfortunately the tree had been removed. After I took the shots, I contacted the farmer and presented him and his wife with a framed copy of the version you like (second shot). He wrote me a couple of months later to let me know they got rid of the tree. Bummer.
