I need to know if my Nikon Dx lenses will work without any issues on the Z8 I have the dx 2.8 17-55 Nikon lens as an example

You can still program the video record button to toggle FX/DX, AND use it to start recording video. It depends if the camera switch is set to photo or video.A great feature of the z9 is being able to program a button to go from fox to DX with the push of a button. I use this everyday in wildlife photography. I rarely shoot video so I programmed the video record button to make the switch.
Moving from the D500 to the Z6II then to the Z9 this was a big deal for me.
Are you using any Dx lenes though?A great feature of the z9 is being able to program a button to go from fox to DX with the push of a button. I use this everyday in wildlife photography. I rarely shoot video so I programmed the video record button to make the switch.

Glad to hear that...thanksThere are no issues with using dx lenses on the z9. It automatically adapts and since the systems are so similar my guess is that the z8 will do likewise.
Yep…it’s the physics of the DX lens image circle.iirc, you can use dx lenses, but i think it automatically puts the camera into dx mode
