I noticed there were a number of Monarch Butterfly's on and around a bush, across the creek from a place I like to sit and eat my lunch on days I'm in the office. I made my way to the other side of the creek and walked across a field to get to the bush and it turned out to be well worth the effort. In fact, I went back to it the following day too.

These are from my 2nd visit.

Every one of these is wonderful!!!! :)

Thank you, Icarus. It was like a "free-for-all". There was almost too much happening in this one bush to keep up with.

What a fantastic series Phil...Superb captures...👌👌👌

Thank you for the kind words, Yezdi. I'm only beginning to work through these. I spent all of 30 minutes at this spot Thursday and then again the same on Friday. It was a great way to spend my lunch break.

Great series Phil

Thanks Kathy. :)

Nice creepies and friends too.

Much appreciated Callie. It took a while, but I finally discovered that the Dinosaur looking bug is a "Wheel Bug". That's a new one for me. Perhaps they are migrating south with all the birds...???...

At risk of becoming redundant, I have a few more to share, now that I've been through some more of the images.

These were also from my 2nd visit, using the Z50, 500PF + 1.4xTC.

This experience has opened my eyes to a new world of opportunities. I know nothing about insects, but am now curious. There were multiple species of butterfly, bee, dragonfly (not captured), and who knows how many other little creatures. I did learn what a "wheel bug" is! Lol...

Shockingly, these images were captured in two 30~40 minute windows during my lunch breaks on consecutive day. Guess I simply need to open my eye and not be quite so focused on "certain things".

Thanks for looking!

It was a wonderful opportunity and you took advantage of it. I might add that the camera/lens combo seems to work well for you in this context. :)
