I was shooting a male osprey returning to the nest when it appeared that he was planning to mate. As he approached the female, out of the corner of his eye was another male on the nest. The incoming male aborted his attempt at mating and went after the interloper. I was so surprised as to what was happening I missed the opportunity to capture the confrontation but did get the original male returning to mate.
