Throughout May 2023 I watched three great horned owl chicks grow up at my condominium in Tucson, USA. I saw them many mornings at sunrise and several evenings at dusk, but did not look every day. Morning of June 1 was last regular sighting and that evening they were gone. Morning of June 3 I looked and saw the adult only and ended my photo visits. The adult lives in the tree year round (and her mate in another tree in our complex), but the three chicks I have only seen twice since, when they briefly returned as they are presumably exploring the larger area in search of their own territories.
I am presenting one photo from each day that I saw them. Some days I saw them in both the am and the pm, but I chose only one per day.
