I have been fortunate to see Lions in quite a few countries in Africa. I have also on occasions seen Lions up trees. However, in Uganda, Queen Elizabeth NP, the Lions live most of their lives in the trees. These are not small trees and most of the lions appear to get as high as possible. The first picture shows one animal, at least 50ft up the tree. (Tree shown in the second picture.) It is also fascinating to watch the parents of young cubs, actively encouraging them up every, easily climbable tree available.
This park borders with the Democratic Republic of Congo. Another interesting wildlife sighting is the hybrid Cape Buffalo / Forest Buffalo within the Cape Buffalo herds. These stand out being a much lighter brown colour.
