Trying to load settings - Z8 SOLVED Duh!

Probably user error - but....

I purchased a second Z8. Today I formatted my card then saved the settings from Z8 #1.

Then put the card into Z8 #2.

I got an error message saying settings could not be loaded in "camera's current state". Z8 #2 battery is fully charged. Tried with and without a lens attached. No joy....

Suggestions?

The battery is the reason I've seen that error message, but it sounds like you took care of that. Any chance the two Z8s aren't running the same firmware version?

Just to be sure, both are on the same firmware? I guess so but you never know. The procedure is indeed very simple so it might be something small,

The new camera is on C 1.01..........

I'm updating the F/W now......!

Vincent and Dave were correct! Once I updated the firmware on Z8 #2, the settings loaded.

Now to confirm....... LOL!
