As many of you probably know or can easily guess there must be hundreds if not thousands of “Twin Falls” features throughout the US & the world. This Twin Falls is located near Kyle’s Landing on the Buffalo National River in north central Arkansas. Heck even in Arkansas there is another Twin Falls feature within 40 miles of this one. Additionally as you can see, in spite of it being called Twin Falls, that isn’t even completely accurate. Now while some may attribute that to the education system in Arkansas (only kidding Arkansas, my daughter is a college professor there & my grandkid’s are proud students of the public school system ) it’s obviously due to the amount & timing of the latest rainfall.
On top of what I consider to be quite a view, it’s only about 70 yards from the trailhead, of course that can be good or bad, but on our day we were the only ones there. Very nice.
This is also my first attempt at focus stacking, perhaps not the best candidate for focus stacking as the wind, while not so noticeable in the hollow, it became very noticeable when stacked as the smaller branches of the trees were literally “all over the place!” So an opportunity to learn some more skills. But I’m reasonably pleased with the result.
On our trip home I mentioned to my wife, duh that would have made an excellent location for a low level lighting Astro shot! As if we need another excuse to visit there, at least I have one!
Thanks Bill
