very nice shot ! are they easy to approach ? not familiar with Coyote, none in Europe.
I agree... Bosque gets some beautiful light and you never know what images you might have the opportunity to make.

Coyotes are not approachable, but they may wander towards you if they are pre-occupied with a hunt. I was photographing a pair that were hunting together. A herd of mule deer pushed them towards my location and this provided an opportunity for me to get some decent portraits of them.
