I lead a study group of seniors at Northwestern's OLLI institute. Last week we had an outing to a Chicago neighborhood (Pelsen - Mexican area). Rather than shot the straight shot, I took advantage of the great wall murals to create urban abstracts. All transformations (other than cropping) and LR sliders was done in the camera by camera movements (spinning the camera) or zooming the lens.

Moving the camera/lens to create abstracts is whole new world. works on wall art, trees, ... I strive for 1/2 to 4" second exposure and will often use an ND filter. No worry if the wind if blowing hard, just adds to the image.

Glad to know it isn't my camera holding technique - what a relief to know all this time I have been doing Urban Abstract Landscapes. Intentional camera movement is great fun because you never know exactly what you will create. Thanks for sharing these. I particularly like grasses, flowers, trees and water/shoreline combos.
