In honor of World Photography Day, I'll post.

There is an area of San Diego called Pt. Loma. In Pt. Loma, there is a little wildlife area called the Famosa Slough. It is maybe an acre under the airport flight path and tucked right into an area you don't want to be at night. The critters look a bit weathered, but it is a little gem in a very urban area. It is an area that you can park close by and quickly see if there is activity. You need to watch for the deviant person kind of activity too toting around expensive camera gear. I've seen a lot of different birds here. This is from a few weeks ago in our slow bird times. Since the park is sort of a rectangle with limited access points, you can pick you light. Worth a short visit.

On this visit, I was strolling around with my D500, 300/2.8 and a 2xTC for the first and 1.4xTC for the second 2.
