Used Z7 & Z6 cameras

While going through Roberts used photo on the computer this morning I saw at least a dozen Z7's and a big bunch of Z6's. What would cause all these to show up in a used site? Are they traded in on Z7II and Z6II's? I found it interesting.

Yup, pretty sure that's users upgrading to the Z6 II and Z7 II though I suppose some of that model churn is photographers jumping to other brands perhaps in part because the new Nikon Z models didn't jump as far forward as some hoped.

It does make for an interesting decision, since the features of the new models aren't night and day different from the originals it's now possible to pick up a low mileage original model for around half the price of the latest version. Seems like a good entry point for a lot of budget minded photographers especially if the dual card slot or the incrementally improved performance isn't a deal breaker to their particular types of photography.

@DRwyoming I hope it is more the case of people upgrading than people switching..
Otherwise it will be quite a financial blow to Nikon, whom is already in a vulnerable financial situation.

Agreed, but I suspect it's a bit of both.

I wonder if Roberts is a bit of a quiet dumping ground for Nikon. I find it suspicious how much gear they have sometimes.
