Using a flash on the Z8

I rarely use a flash so I always need to fumble around with the mirrorless cameras (most I shoot Z8s.) I need to find an information source for using a flash with the Z8, particularly when trying to light up my occasional macro bug photos. Here's one that I got a little while ago out my office window that appears to be fair.??
