After seeing tiwane's most interesting post, I thought some might enjoy these pics. Found a dead Yellow-and-black Flat Millipede (Apheloria tigana) early this past spring while out photographing birds and brought it home to identify. Here's some shots made at that time with an inexpensive Convoy S2+ Nichia UV 365nm flashlight fitted with barrier filter to exclude any extraneous blue light illumination (typical of cheap "black lights"). Apologize for the poor quality of these quick grabs.

D500 w/ 105mm micro 1/30 f/2.8 ISO 100 (for both fluorescence and white-light captures)

Interesting ... I like the first one even more.. It is mystical.
That flash is something special as I understand. I looked something for scorpions.. Checked Convoy and they say in Amazon it is for fake paper money :ROFLMAO: also not bad. And to check urine stains... Last month I was sharing my camping place with two mating pairs and a boss ... I mean the lions. So, with such lamp I could have checked where and what they have marked :D
