Taken in the Southern Ocean south of Australia, this species has a wingspan up to 3.5m, the largest of any bird.
The scalloping in the white plumage indicates a younger bird:
Feeding on a fish frame thrown out by the ship's crew. In the background is a Shy Albatross (imm.) I think.
