The story behind these images is that I was reurning home from a shoot and crested a hill in my car and saw two buzzards landing on a road kill. As I approached they flew off so I backed up off the road and crept into the rear seat so that I could shoot through the drivers window (RHD). There I waited focussed on the dead hare in live view to avold the D850 shutter noise which would have frightened it. Eventually one bird returned and I managed two bursts before cyclists came over the hill and scared the buzzard away,

Two observations 1) it had been a hot day and was still around 23C and although I was only about 100m away some heat distortion is evident; 2) my car is big and white so I really think colour makes no difference, it was more concerned with the cyclists!
