I had an amazing opportunity this past spring to watch a pair of eagles take over an osprey nest, fight off the returning osprey, lay eggs, hatch the eggs and watch the eaglets grow up and fledge.
I took 10s of thousands of photographs and it was one of my lifetime highlights to be able to witness all of this.

Here are 4 pics I just happen to have on my phone at the moment showing the eaglets during part of that period.

Nice sequence! It really is a neat experience to follow the family from first sighting of the nestlings until fledging.

I have been following an eagle nest for the last 2+ years. First year the adults had 3 eaglets that all fledged, and both adults were pretty worn out in continually bringing in food. Last year they only had one, so it was more laid back. Recently the adults have starting their home improvements on their nest. Looking forward to another season.

Again great shots.

Love your series. I’ve been following eagles around me, but this past winter/spring, no eaglets. I’m hoping for bigger and better things this season. Saw both adults back at their nest this past week.
