What will Nikon introduce for the summer Olympics?

Less than 6 months away. What does Nikon plan to introduce? New camera- if so, what (specs)? Lenses? Firmware?

If new camera, probably not Z 9ii - too soon. Maybe lower resolution Z 9 with precapture in raw, 45-60 FPS. Or special edition Z 9 with double buffer to allow precapture in raw, faster write to CFE card?


Lens - 180-400 TC replacement

Canon will introduce R1, Sony A1 ii???

I don't know, of course, but the Z9 as is will work quite well for sports photography. Maybe nothing new from Nikon???

Yes the Z 9 is a great camera. But as canon and Sony introduce new models, Nikon will need to make some news …

That’s the point precisely, Nikon is already there and doesn’t need to play catch up. But in terms of making news, maybe they release a new lens or even an APS-C body?

Right now they are positioned well. In 6 months will they need raw precapture, 30+ raw fps, .. to match Sony and canon
