Excellent shot. Never seen that species before. The only suggestion I have is to shoot using a faster shutter speed. I would go at least to 1/500 sec. Just my opinion.
Very nice image of the bird.Excellent eye contact. The background and sides look a little too busy. In the field , what I like to do is rotate my position as I take images to get a cleaner background.
Nice images. The second one is a bit less sharp than the first. Perhaps try to increase sharpness in post.
