Well composed, captured and processed. I like Helicon Focus, though have more to learn on how to best use it on more complex subjects.
I really like to MC 105 lens and look forward to using it more in the spring. right now I find myself using the MC 50 more because working distances are shorter in my available space to shoot.

Thank you. I didn’t get the 50mm but have contemplated it. Do you like the 50?

Yes, I like the 50 for a couple of reasons. First, as mentioned above, it allows getting closer to the subject when working in a limited space and allowing capture of more of the subject than you would get with the 105 at the same distance.

It is also the only 50mm lens I own, incase I need it for other purposes. I have mostly zooms, but have found the 50 to be helpful in other situations including landscape, etc. Furthermore, the 50 can be used with the ES-2 kit to photograph negatives and slides for digitzing. And, I have a lot of those dating back a few (50) years. The reviews sy it is not a sharp as the 105 but it works great for what and how I shoot and that I generally only print for photobooks so the sharpness is just fine.

I also have the F-mount 105 for my D850 and the old 70-180 f/4.5-5.6 D lens that went out of production in about 2004. It produces amazing photos and the zoom is very useful. I use it in my D750 and D850 and plan to try it in manual focus on tmy Z6. The zoom is a big help at botanical gardens when you cannoot get as close as you would like to the subject. It cannot be used for focus shift shooting though.

Not a bad price for the 50 compared to the 105mm.
