White Sands - After/Before

Here are the after and before images from a recent visit to White Sands. What I see from the after shot is that I have much to learn to better capture what I want with the original. I did "erase" small distractions and make use of LrC masking plus some work in PS. The dynamic range of the scen from light to dark is significant and I need to better manage that in maybe bracketing the shots. Time of day was near 1100AM. I need more work on how to better capture what I saw in my mind's eye. I am a work in progress. Need to try again!!!
Anyway, I love that place and NEED to get back there while I can!!!
