This species (Luscinia svecica cyanecula) is a relatively recent addition to the bird fauna in Southern Sweden. Herr shot with NikonZ9, 500pf and 1.4 extender

Cute little guy. What does it mean by "recent addition to bird fauna"? They've not been spotted in that area before? Where are they normally endemic?
Hi
How recent differs somewhat. In my area the couty of Skane ( the most southern i Sweden) the white spotted bluethrouts have appeared during the last 3-4 years probable caused by changes in climate. Otherwise normal summer habitats are in Central Europe. As all insect eaters they winter in tropical climate ( Africa and India).
