Auto Area AF, bird subject detection.
About 50% crop of original.
From about two weeks ago.
I was in Nymphenburger Park in Munich and a bit disappointed because I couldn't get any decent shot of herons, ducks or grebes.
I was already thinking about going home when I saw some White Wagtails in the lawn next to me.
It shows that going home too early can be a very bad idea

I put the tripod really low and photographed using the LCD screen.
Lying on the ground and hand-holding the lens would have been rather disgusting as there a tons of geese and they leave their droppings everywhere.
This adult had a lot of mosquitos in it's bill, maybe to feed young.
I am not entirely sure if it went after the one in front of it or if this one showed up by accident but I think it adds a bit to the image.
They walk very fast and are not easy to follow but I took hundreds of images. Most of the time the AF of the Z8 stayed on the eye or at least a few shots of a series (always 20fps) were sharp.
