Not far from where I live, there's a state park...ironically very close to a major airport...hunting is not allowed, so the deer are very acclimated to hoomans. Weird to be out hiking and seeing "wild" deer, while at the same time hearing commercial airliners flying overhead.

Cool. The John Heinz Wildlife Refuge adjacent to Philadelphia National Airport closed last weekend for a 3-day bow and arrow deer hunt, so there will be fewer deers running around there now.

@seh, we had the same closure near my work a few years ago. Weird to see so many deer, and then not so many!

They're habituated in my yard too. But there's hunting around us at times so, although you can get close, their personal space is still there.

A beautiful animal and well captured. They're very adaptable to human activity and development. Sadly roads are one thing they can't figure out.
