Will the new Z6 & Z7 mark ii impact the used market on Pro DSLR bodies?

A good friend asked me if I thought he should wait to by the lightly used D4s he's been saving for now that the new Z's are announced... Honestly, D4 and D4s bodies are expensive (but, they are very good, and I've been completely happy with mine)... At $2400ish for a D4s in excellent condition, with relatively low shutter count, it seems like it would be hard to spend that when a Z6ii is under $2000 (and will likely come down a bit next year). Does anyone have a good argument I could share with my buddy to say "go for the D4s"?

Too many unknowns at the moment. Until the new Z cameras are in the wild, it's hard to say how effective they will be or how well they would stand against something like a D4/s.

As for used prices, I'm not sure how much the new Z cameras will drive them down, it really depends on how popular they are and how well they can replace DSLRs.

We could speculate on endless scenarios, but in the end (at least in my opinion), I think it's just too early to tell.
