I kinda like the silhouette ........ but now I want to know what the windmill looks like in daylight

@Bristolian Sorry do not have one taken during the day, on the way to the ferry terminal, saw this took the shot.
You can see what it is like today by opening Google Earth and put in the co-ordinates 37° 4'52.37"N, 25° 8'40.64"E , then enter Street View, turn left towards the water and check it out.

Cool shot, I think the people in silhouette add to the image. I wonder why the mill has no sails? I checked out the earth image and it too had no sails, I guess it must be a nonfunctional decorative type of structure.

I think more likely an originally working structure that has been superseded and kept as a reminder of past times, in my mind the icon of Greece.
