I'm starting to suffer from withdrawal simptoms - lack of photographic opportunities. It has been weeks of gloomy, grey cloud overcast here in Southern Ontario lately. Just terrible for wildlife photography. On top of all that we're into yet another lockdown so that also limits one's mobility.
I tossed the camera into the car today when I had to run an errand in the district, just in case. As I moved along the rural roads I noticed a number of hawks perched in the trees. I almost think they are just as fed up with the weather as I am. At one stage I noticed two Red-tailed Hawks perched in the same tree. That is not something I've seen before. Checking on-line it seems they can mate for life so I guess this must be a couple.
They were far away and this is a severe crop, but at least I got a small photographic fix to calm the withdrawal symptoms.
Z6ii with Nikkor 200-500mm.
