IMO the most beautiful North American duck.
Thanks. I tend to agree. They surely are striking.
We seem to have a minor population explosion around here. Growing up, I hunted and hiked all the time and could count on one hand the number of wood ducks I saw locally (Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana). Now, they are fairly common. I'm happy about that. Beautiful creatures.
