I was really lucky to be able to watch this family of Greater Spotted Woodpeckers take to the feeders in my garden last week & thought you might like to see them.
At one point it started to pour down & I managed to get a shot of one of the juveniles getting absolutely soaked.

It was great to watch, it only lasted a day but I'd never witnessed anything like this before & for it to be happening in my own garden just made it even more special especially as I could sit in a comfortable chair on my patio & my wife could just keep feeding me cups of tea!
