Very nice. First time I've seen a yellow-eyed Junco. I'm used to the dark-eyed ones.
They are in the mountains in Southeast Arizona. My yard is about 5 miles from the Mexican border. Don't think they go much further north than mountains around Tucson. In bad weather in winter they move down to lower altitudes, like my yard at about 5000 feet. Imagine they're all over the place in mountains in Mexico.Same, here. Never seen a Yellow Eyed Junco before. Great shot!
Thanks. They are beautiful.Beautiful shot Icarus...
Thank you.Very nice!
They are striking birds. You have captured one well-I usually see them on the ground and often in grass which makes it tough to get a great open, low perspective shot like this. One to be proud of!
Thanks, Gordon. It was shot at ISO 11400. Think I ran it through Topaz deNoise. Where I was shooting was dark as a pocket. Birds were coming in to drink and it was great, except for being dark. LOLNice Shot, could be great if you got rid of some of the noise. Background looks fantastic.
Thank you. I've photographed them before, but never gotten them at a good angle. They are striking birds. You have captured one well-I usually see them on the ground and often in grass which makes it tough to get a great open, low perspective shot like this. One to be proud of!
