Yellowstone Road Construction Projects: Current and Upcoming

I think most of us have heard of and possibly experienced the road construction in Yellowstone. The new road from Gardiner to Mammoth is a mini Beartooth.

I have not yet experienced the construction of the new Yellowstone River Bridge to have drastically impacted traffic flow - yet.

The next big road construction project will be in the area of the Rustic Falls.

This is a Vimeo video of the proposed scope of work. I get an error if I post the hyperlink, so copy the Vimeo link and past in your web browser.

From the article

"The project is expected to take three years to finish, with contract bidding beginning next summer and construction starting in the fall. Crews plan to do most of the work between Labor Day and the start of the winter weather season, according to Dan Rhodes, the project manager and landscape architect at Yellowstone National Park." My guess is they will close that section of road between that time.
