I checked out a local osprey nest yesterday to see if there was any activity. There were two adults in a nearby tree on the last visit. On this trip there were two fledged youngsters testing out their wings. It was a pleasure to watch as they flew the area, landing to take a break on the nest or nearby trees. At one point the two got into some aerial maneuvers, chasing each other, swooping around so fast that you could hear the whoosh of the air. Quite a treat.
