Z6iii RAW format not opening in Mac 'open with preview'

Is anyone else having a problem opening their RAW images shot on Z6iii in preview on a mac? My Z9, old Z6i both open in preview no problem. I tend to glance through my images in preview before I import into LrC mainly as it helps me sort them first on my harddrive, setting up folders etc before I begin editing. But the Mac doesn't support the format of the Z6iii apparently even tho its still a NEF...

Mac OS doesn't support the Z6iii yet but it will show the embedded jpg if you hit the spacebar. There is no thumbnail and no preview at this time.

Maybe the new OS coming shortly will but it took them a long time to support the Z8.
