Z8 battery alternative, to aide long video shooting?

Before I do this, I'd like to get opinions and any actual experiences would be super great information.

I recently purchased the below 2 battery replacement items for my Z8, to aide in shooting long videos.
Any thought, comments, actual experiences?

V mount via a dummy is fine, but you can also use continuous aux power directly through the USB. That SmallRig rocks, I use it on my Z9 vid rig. Also powers my external monitor.
