After a number of months shooting primarily birds along with other wildlife with the Z9, I am constantly amazed at how good the results are.
I believe being a pro-level camera there is no substitute for knowing the camera, it's complex enough it really important to understand what does what and why. Reading the manual numerous times is important and Steve Perry's 'Secrets to the Nikon Autofocus System' is invaluable.
The pairing of the Z9 with the 800PF makes me positively giddy after viewing a day's work on the computer. In my AF Area-Mode Settings I have become a big fan of the Dynamic Area (AF) (S) and (M) for most every close to medium distance to the subject situation and Wide-Area AF (L) for smaller birds at a greater distance. Always in (C) mode.
