Without going down multiple rabbit holes with this one let's just say "I know a guy who for unspecified reasons may want to rollback his firmware from 4.0 to 3.1 on his Nikon Z9 how would I explain to him how to do that"?
All kidding aside, that guy has been having issues ever since installing version 4 when using my outdated 600mm f4 af-s D series lens. Had no real complaints while using older 3.1 firmware, but since then with 4.0 version the autofocus just hunts back and forth quite a bit before settling in on a confirmed lock.
I tried installing a memory card with the 3.1 file on it but the camera would not allow me to do anything as usually does when updating the firmware previously.
Do I (I mean, does "this guy" ) need to do something different in order to go backwards?
